About Crystal City Jazz Celebration
The Crystal City Jazz Celebration (CCJC) was created to preserve and promote Classic Jazz. CCJC is dedicated to the perpetuation of jazz by supporting emerging jazz artists, promoting local jazz musicians, and presenting a world class jazz festival.
To achieve this mission CCJC has identified five goals:
- Assist local emerging jazz artists by providing the
necessary environment and tools to encourage them to
evolve into experienced and educated jazz artists.
- Provide a venue for youth bands to demonstrate their
artistry and discuss their performances with professionals
to lead these emerging jazz artists in a direction that will
further their growth and development.
- Provide a quality Classic Jazz venue for audiences of all
ages.
- Build a viable annual Classic Jazz festival in Virginia to
support local professional musicians who have dedicated
their careers to jazz.
- Promote the Crystal City, Virginia community's
participation in, and support of jazz.
